The first door of our advent calendar is open! Every day you will find a new blog post to make your christmas season even better. Today an easy DIY. Make your own bath bomb and give it away as gifts or use it for yourself to relax during these stressful season.
What you will need:
For 4-5 bath bombs
• 2 cup of baking soda
• 1 cup of citric acid
• 1 cup of corn starch
• 1/2 cup of Epson salt
• 4 tbsp of vegetable oil or almond oil
• 1 tbsp of essential oil (I used a Christmas mix)
• orange food coloring, or yellow and red
• mold: clear splittable plastic ball (get them here)
• a mixing bowl
• a whisk
How to make a bath bomb?
Mix the dry ingredients together (first four on the list). Whisk them well until there are no clumps.
Mix the wet ingredients together and slowly pour them into the dry mix while whisking. You should get a consistent that when you press the mixture together the form should stay. If it crumbles slightly add more wet ingredients, but be careful and don’t add too much.
Take your molds and put the mixture in the two halfs and then press them hard together to get a ball. Slightly knock on the plastic, it should then easy get off.
That’s it! You have a finished bath bomb.
You can put them in muffin molds to make the bath bombs hold better.
Enjoy your bath!
