DIY: Body scrub

A quick DIY for a beautiful skin

For me Sundays are days to relax before the new week begins. I try to calm down, take a bath, listen to music and to spend more time for my skincare.

Today is my relaxing day and I want to show you a quick body scrub (DIY). You don’t need many ingredients for it and it’s very easy to do. I love this DIY because you exactly know which ingredients the scrub has and you can save a lot of money when you do it yourself.

What you need:

  • 1 Cup of Sugar
  • 2 large bio limes or 3 small bio limes
  • 3 tablespoons of lime zest

DIY - lemon zest

Step 1:

Take a bowl and rub of the zest of the limes with a grater. You need three teaspoons of it.

DIY - lemon

Step 2:

Now press out the juice from one or two limes and add it to the lime zests.

DIY - Oil

Step 3:

Add the coconut oil into the bowl.

DIY - sugar

Step 4:

For the peeling effect we use sugar. The texture of the peeling shouldn’t be to runny. If so, you need to add more sugar to the peeling until you are happy with it.

DIY - finish

Step 5:

The peeling is finished. Now put the peeling on your skin and peel off the dead skin cells. You’ll get a soft and glowy skin. After the peeling you don’t need to put lotion on your skin because the coconut oil is like a protective film.

I hope you like this quick DIY. Did you make your own body scrub before?

I wish you a happy sunday! xoxo

  1. I usually make my own coffee scrub by adding the coffee powder from one Nespresso capsule to 1 Spoon of Olive oil. Love to use it in the shower because it kind of makes a mess 😀 But what’s better than peeling your skin plus having the incredible smell of coffee all over your bathroom hmmmmm…

    Love, Kerstin
